Introducing… One Rock Institute North America!
In May of 2025, God spoke to me quite clearly, confirmed by several others close to me: “Your old patterns of leadership need to be replaced by new ones. It’s time to 'level up' your leadership and discipleship.” As soon as I accepted that call and decided to act on it, I moved on to the next area to worry about! Where should I turn? I’ve probably attended 25 of the last 30 Global Leadership Summits, and I could spend a month just researching my best options.
God is so kind… He dropped One Rock into my lap the next week. I’d met the leaders and developers of One Rock Institute, Mark and Asia Williamson, through JC2033. (Mark is the coordinator for JC2033 in the United Kingdom just like I am for the USA.) So we were already growing in friendship, and my respect for him was immediate. The course was being offered to JC2033 ambassadors, and I immediately knew the Lord had handed me the answer to a prayer I’d only begun to pray.
Cohorts, cohorts
Five of us in the U.S. joined cohorts in Africa and Europe for this year-long journey. The impact on J17 Ministries will be felt until Jesus returns, because four of J17’s leaders have been stretching and growing. The three courses in One Rock are Spiritual Formation, Vision Discernment, and Leadership Skills, woven together beautifully and drawing from the best of the best around the world.
23 weekly online sessions of just under two hours include conversational debriefing, new content that is professionally presented, and small group breakouts to process the material in real time. The online sessions are grouped with 3-4 weeks in a row, followed by 3-4 weeks off. In between, 15 coaching sessions are included, with a personal coach selected for each participant based on the goals we express when we sign up for the course. Additional material has been curated online that enables participants to go as deep as they’d like in particular topics, and written assignments pull it all together.
For those of us in North America, the cost is $100/month for 13 months, with a $200 discount if paid in full upfront. When the website says this is a discounted price of over 80%, do your own comparisons and you’ll discover that 80% is a quite conservative estimate. The sessions begin in September, and a commitment would be needed by mid August if you're interested in participating.
My hope and prayer
I’m confident Tucson will have another cohort this year. I’m praying that a few other cities in the U.S. will join us. Mark and I are discussing some JC2033 overlays, so that city planning teams for 2033 can learn and grow together, all over the nation. And depending on how many people sign up, Mark Williamson might be able to supplement with some in-person training in addition to what’s already planned.
