Uniting the Body of Christ This Arizona Gives Day

Today, April 7, is Arizona Gives Day, and many across our state (and beyond) are prayerfully considering how to steward their generosity. While J17 Ministries is not officially participating this year, we wholeheartedly celebrate this moment as an opportunity to invest in the work of God happening throughout Arizona.

At J17 Ministries, our mission is rooted in the prayer of Jesus in John 17, that His followers would be one, just as He and the Father are one. This unity is not uniformity, but a Spirit-led togetherness that reflects the heart of Christ to a watching world.

Upside-down Kingdom mindedness

In a culture that often highlights differences, competition, and division, we believe God is inviting His Church into something deeper. Inspired by principles like “rooting for rivals,” we are learning to champion one another and to celebrate the flourishing of other ministries, churches, and leaders as if they were our own. Because in the Kingdom of God, it is.

Arizona Gives Day provides a tangible way to live this out.

Rather than focusing inward, we invite you to look outward. Consider the many faithful organizations across your city that are advancing the Gospel, serving communities, and building bridges of unity. Your generosity toward them is not separate from the work of J17, rather, it is a continuation of it. When one part of the Body is strengthened, the whole Body is built up.

From thought to action

We encourage you to prayerfully ask: Where is God inviting me to give today? Who can I come alongside and support in this season? Whether it’s a ministry meeting practical needs, one that fosters reconciliation, a charitable endeavor investing in the next generation, or a nonprofit that shares the love of Jesus in creative ways, your giving matters.

We invite you to visit the “Partners” page on our website HERE for a few of our recommended ministries. If you’re looking for more personalized suggestions, feel free to reach out to Jennifer, who would be glad to help guide you in areas like mental health, homelessness, foster care, campus ministries, recovery, and more!

Thank you for being part of a movement that chooses unity over division, collaboration over competition, and generosity over scarcity.

Together, we are living out the prayer of Jesus.
