17 for 17!
17 for 17 would be a great day at the free throw line for a basketball team – the University of Arizona Wildcats, of course.
17 for 17 would be an awesome week of tasks accomplished, completely finishing a home to-do list of cleaning and repair projects.
17 for 17 would be a sensational guest list for a very popular teenager at her 17th birthday party.
Or, given that we have begun the final month of 2025, imagine the ecstasy of completing your Christmas shopping by December 17.
Something with far greater impact

We at J17 have set a goal this year of 25 new monthly donors by the end of 2025. Are you one of them?
The possibility of tuning out
On this Giving Tuesday, you might have received more than 17 different requests for support, and most, if not all, of them are dear to the Father’s heart. You can’t go wrong being generous in any of those endeavors. J17 Ministries doesn’t seek to compete with any other ministry. Rather, we’re praying for great success for all of our Kingdom friends, known and unknown.
As such… we’re inviting you to align with what Jesus thought was of utmost importance: unity among His followers (see John 17). While Christ was mere hours away from hanging on the cross, He apparently believed that uniting the Body would be the best way that every community in every generation – past, present, and future – would know about His sacrifice and be transformed by it.
But… I’m not from Tucson…
Isn’t J17 Ministries a Tucson project? Shouldn’t I invest in my own community? Such great questions! That’s why we have such an amazing newsletter audience! For over 14 years, we’ve been pursuing Jesus’ John 17 prayer in our own community. Certainly, that’s where we’ve had the most impact, and that isn’t changing. And… over the last two years especially, we’re building relational unity with others around the state, nation, and world who also care deeply about Jesus’ John 17 prayer. In fact, we’re leading the charge (at least initially), in ensuring that the global celebration already being prepared for the 2000th anniversary of Jesus’ resurrection (April 17, 2033) doesn’t bypass our own nation. Every household, every city, every state in the US needs a John 17 strategy if that grand celebration vision will result in literally everyone being made aware of who Christ is (see JC2033.world).

We’re networking networks! We’re blessed by countless unity efforts in Tucson, so we’re working to unite them! We’re stepping out of areas where others are experiencing 17 for 17 success already, and we’re looking for areas where Jesus’ John 17 prayer hasn’t made an impact yet. In fact, there are over 17 leaders committed to gather next week to get the bigger picture of areas we’re growing into locally. There might have been 17 or more reasons for giving thanks that connect in some way to J17 Ministries in last week’s newsletter... but I didn’t go back and count.
So, I pray you’re thankful today in more than 17 ways! And if God lays it on your heart to give $17 for 17, and move us closer to our December goal of 25 new monthly donors in 2025… well, praise the Lord!
