Response Requested!
Who is Jesus praying for in John 17 – us, or you?
I’ll come back to that question, but first, I would genuinely like any feedback you can provide to this question:
How have we (in J17 Ministries) done so far
in equipping you to be an answer to Jesus’ John 17 prayer?
This column is going to be much shorter than normal, in order to give those of you who typically read the whole article a couple extra minutes simply to respond! The more specific you can be, the more points you get. And March is entirely about scoring more points. Final Four or bust for my Arizona Wildcats.
NTT: a New Bible Translation (not!)
Jesus isn’t praying in John 17 for more and more ministries to spring up that emphasize unity.
Quick interesting fact about our home base city of Tucson – I’ve heard consistently that we have more 501(c)3 nonprofits per capita than any large city in the country. So if we were to publish an NTT Bible version – the New Tucson Translation – here’s what it would not say in John 17:20, “I’m not only praying for the gang of 12 in front of me, but for all who will ever read their work once it’s published… that many of them would establish future 501(c)3’s that would answer this prayer.”
I’ll share why I’m asking next week!
Blessings,
Dave Drum, Founder J17 Ministries
