Peace Talks — Study Guide

$8.00

Who is someone within your family with whom you’ve had political conflict? Or someone who you avoid anything political because you know you would have conflict if the topic came up? A teenage son or daughter? Young adult children? Your spouse? Extended family? As the social distancing of COVID-19 has shown us, you don’t even have to be in the same state, let alone room, to meet together. Working through this material with one or two other people could prove extremely valuable.

Study together with an already existing church small group. Most of us feel the pain of how broken our country’s political sphere is. Grow in appreciation for how each of you can be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. This can be especially effective if both political parties are represented in the group. If your group is made up of people with similar cultural and political backgrounds, consider linking up with another group that is different.

Form a multicultural small group between churches. Grab a friend from your church, link up with a friend from another church who has a different cultural (and probably political) background, and invite that friend to bring along a friend. Form a foursome and work through the material together.
